Next to the general MOSAICmodeling forums on Technical Questions and Model Discussion, the MOSAICmodeling webpage sports an ongoing discussion on the way to formulate models which are useable for process optimisation purposes. This discussion is an extension of the article “Systematic approaches for model derivation for optimization purposes” by Erik Esche, David Müller, Robert Kraus, and Günter Wozny, published in Chemical Engineering Science 115 (2014), 215-224.

Modeling Workflow for Optimization – Discussion
As has been promised in "Systematic approaches for model derivation for optimization purposes" by Erik Esche, David Müller, Robert Kraus, and Günter Wozny in Chemical Engineering Science 115 (2014) 215–224, DOI: 10.1016/j.ces.2013.11.041 a forum is set up detailing and discussing the steps to systematically derive chemical engineering process models, which are readily usable for optimization. All 16 steps are detailed and commented in the sections below.
