Purpose
The variable specification viewer allows the user to simply import and export a variable specification, e.g., for analysis purposes.
Explanation of the editor
The VarSpec viewer is shown in Figure 1. It is a very simple application. The elements are explained in Table 1.

| File | Filename of the variable specification the user wants to inspect |
| Description | Optional description of the variable specification |
| Keywords | Optional keywords for the variable specification |
| Usages | Model elements, i.e., simulation or optimization, in which the variable specification is used |
| Variables | All variable within the variable spec, including their name, classificiation, value, bounds, etc. |
| Export | Allows the export of the loaded variable specification based on the predefined language specifications or user-defined language specifications |
| Import | Allows the import of values and bounds for the currently loaded variable specification based on the predefined language specifications or user-defined language specifications |
