Optimization: Constraints

Mandatory element

Once a simulation is completed and hopefully well initialized at a feasible solution, the user might be interested in an optimization for design or control.

Purpose

The constraints editor basically loads the underlying simulation, which is then used for the optimization.

Explanation of the editor

In the constraints editor in Figure 1, the user supplies the simulation, which is then visualized in the equations and the functions tab. The indexing cannot be changed anymore as this is only done at the simulation level. Beyond that, there is nothing the user needs to do.
